"We laughed, we cried....it was the best of times, it was the worst of times"
We actually laughed UNTIL we cried Saturday night when the festivities were over and we were back to the Lava Lord crib sipping cold ones. We had a great time playing at the Fairmont Legion and want to thank everyone who came out to support us. It's hard to thank each and everyone here on the web but there are some who deserve honorable mention. Thanks Wayne for having us back at the Legion and having the first EVER Lava Lords radio ads on KFMC radio ....thanks Rich & Kenny Sill for letting us camp out at your pad on Blue Earth Ave for the weekend "almost free". By the end of the weekend we were feeling quite at home not at the Hilton... but the "Sillton" Thanks to Lonzo's bro Todd for taking some good digital photog and some awesome video clips. If you ever get a chance...bug the band members to play the video clip of "Jumpin Jack Flash". It has that psychedelic MTV 70's look and feel to it.

As is normal at a LavaLord gig there were many highlights, surreal moments & laughs to be had. The band had a "serious" request to play "Islands in the Stream" by Dolly Parton. Had requests to play "Green Grass of Home" and "New York, New York" from the "aging hecklers" in the back row. We were very appreciative of Pete's dad being there most of the night and he had a great costume. PLUS very surreal moments watching dancers dancing to "Fairies Wear Boots" by Black Sabbath. That was a Halloween moment!!! Then of course there was Lonzo falling off his 3" high leopard skinned platform shoes !!
Sounds like you guys had some fun! Are you EVER going to play in the metro area again? Seems like all you do is play in Fairmont now. Too far to drive, you guys aren' that good ! How about a south metro gig ?
Fairmont is South Metro ain't it ??
j/k
Maybe one day we will get invited to play south metro. So far nothing on the horizon.
